Opening Ceremonies at the Liberty Pole on Court Street

History Symposium - UMM - Torrey Hall until 4:00pm
Registration Required $12.00/person
The History Symposium will consist of five speakers:
Stephen Sanfilippo - Maritime songs from the Colonial Period
Dr. John Ahlin - Maine Rubicon: Downeast Settlers During the American Revolution
Dr. Liam Riordan - Will focus on his book, "Many Identities, One Nation: The American Revolution and its Legacy in the Mid Atlantic".
Chris Groden - The life of Colonel John Allan
Sean Connaughton - Keynote Speaker - Administrator of the U.S. Department of Transportation Merchant Marine.
Coffee and doughnuts and a box lunch will be included.
Lunch will take place at Bad Little Falls Park followed by a tour of the O'Brien Cemetery(weather permitting).

DAR Memorial Laying of Two Wreaths at E. Machias Congregational Church Honoring the Foster Brothers. (A bus will provide transportation from UMM to E. Machias and back).

Colonial Mother & Daughter Light Tea - Portside - Registration Required. $5/person, $8/two Call 255-4402 to register
Bring your daughter and her doll to tea. Share the "etiquette" of the day with daughter, friend, sister. Period clothing encouraged, but not required.

Colonial Father & Son Firearms Exhibition - UMM Mall
Period re-enactors will demonstrate the use of muskets.
