Our Chamber Programs

The Chamber’s Annual Dinner and Auction- 

Held annually at a venue in Machias. Socializing begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by a catered dinner and cash bar.  Spectacular auction items and activities will make the evening even more fun. The Chamber will also be awarding it’s annual awards: Business, Employee and Volunteer of the Year. Any member of the Chamber can submit award nominations. Antiques Appraisal Fair-

First weekend in August: local antique and art expert offers appraisal of your personal treasures.

Friday Night Movies-

Each Friday in August: at dusk on the lawn next to the Chamber, free event with free popcorn donated by How Sweet It Is.

Machias Scarecrow Contest –

Held every October.

Trick or Treat on Main Street-

Friday before Halloween: local businesses offer candy to 600-900 children. 

Machias Community Christmas-

Held the first weekend in December: visits and toys from Santa, crafts and letters to Santa, carriage rides, lighted community parade and lighting of the community Christmas Tree.

Two Nation Vacation –

The Machias Bay Chamber is part of a Down East initiative to educate tourists about activities and events on both sides of the New Brunswick border.
